Rosanky is a small unincorporated community nestled in the rolling hills of Bastrop County in Central Texas. The town is located approximately 14 miles southeast of the city of Bastrop and 14 miles southwest of Smithville. Rosanky is known for its picturesque countryside, scenic drives, and tranquil atmosphere. One of the main attractions of Rosanky is its historic buildings and landmarks. The town has a number of buildings that date back to the late 1800s and early 1900s, including the Rosanky Baptist Church, which was built in 1896, and the Rosanky Community Center, which was originally a schoolhouse built in 1914. The town is surrounded by natural beauty and has several parks and recreational areas nearby. Bastrop State Park, which is located just a short drive from Rosanky, offers over 5,900 acres of hiking and biking trails, camping sites, fishing spots, and swimming areas. Buescher State Park is another nearby option with its scenic lake, hiking trails, and picnic areas. The town hosts a number of annual events and festivals, including the Rosanky Country Christmas and the Rosanky BBQ Cook-Off, which brings together locals and visitors alike to celebrate the town's heritage and enjoy good food, music, and company.
