Richmond, Texas is the county seat for Fort Bend County which is located right outside the city of Houston. It is an area that has continued to grow in the past few years and shows no signs of slowing down. Richmond was founded in 1822 by a small group of colonists and was among the first 19 towns incorporated by the Republic of Texas.

Richmond sits right off the Brazos River and is also located right outside of Houston. The threats of Hurricanes and localized flash flooding show their faces from time to time. In 2017 Richmond was dealt a hard blow from Hurricane Harvey and many homes suffered from flooding.
