Considered to be the oldest town in Texas, Nacogdoches was founded in 1779 by Don Antonio Gil Y’Barbo. This quaint little town is booming with history and stories from years past beginning with the Caddo Indians, who lived in the area before the Spanish, through the present day. Over the course of its history, Nacogdoches had nine different flags rather than the six for the rest of Texas. The flags included the Spanish, French, Gutierrez-Magee Rebellion, Dr. James Long Expedition, Mexican, Fredonia Rebellion, Lone Star, Confederate Stars & Bars, and of course the United States of America.
Nacogdoches is considered one of the most historic towns in Texas and offers a wide variety of attractions for visitors. It is nestled right at the intersection of the historic El Camion Real de los Tejas and the La Calle del Norte and still attracts people from all over the world, just like it did in the 1800s when Nacogdoches was considered the gateway to Texas.
Nacogdoches has been in the Texas Main Street Program since 1998. Nacogdoches downtown was named the "Best Historic Venue" by Texas Meetings and Events magazine. Nacogdoches was nominated as one of the "Friendliest Towns in America" by Rand McNally and USA Today.
The Texas Blueberry Festival is the most delicious festival in the Lone Star State. June 11, 2022 marks a day-long celebration of the blueberry harvest. As the only state-sanctioned blueberry festival in Texas, this delicious annual event attracts more than 19,000 people to downtown Nacogdoches on the second Saturday in June.

What our Nacogdoches customers are saying
Holy packing and moving crew. We had a water leak that required demo of dining room, living room, hallway and spare bathroom. We had cleaned out my mom's estate and every room had random stuff everywhere. Nef and Sachi arrived and started packing. They were so nice and respectful of all of our junk. Within four hours, they had all 1200 square feet packed and ready to go in two box trucks. Sectional couch, four book shelves full of books, twenty pieces of cast iron cookware, three sofa tables... Brandon and Emilliano arrived in the afternoon to start moving everything. I don't know how they moved a whole house worth of items in 2 hours, but they made it look easy on a hot Texas day. We have had 9 military moves and this packing and moving crew surpassed them all. If we ever move from this house, I will absolutely be asking SERVPRO-Nac if they can do it for us.
Jason Jose responded quickly to my flooding, cleaned up the water, took out the damaged Sheetrock and insulation, and dried everything thing in a professional and respectful manner. Highly recommend!
Angela,Rylee and Diego was such a blessing on our clean up from water heater leaking in our attic. They came promptly dried the attic and removed debri. These three did amazing work and went beyond to clean up our huge mess. Very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend these three for any of your remediation needs. Thank you for a job well done!
We are beyond grateful for Angela from SERVPRO. From the moment she stepped in, she brought compassion, professionalism, and clarity during one of the most stressful times of our lives.
Our kitchen and downstairs had severe water damage after an insurance delay, and Angela not only explained every step in plain language but went above and beyond to help us navigate the mess. She even communicated directly with our insurance when we couldn’t get through, making sure our home and family were protected.
Angela is a rare gem — knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. She treated us like family and made us feel seen and supported the whole way through. We cannot thank her enough and highly recommend her to anyone in need of mitigation help.
SERVPRO sent a fantastic crew to help us get up and running again. They were on time and very professional. They offered good advice and helpful suggestions for moving forward. We will be using them again!
We are in Wisconsin and had significant water damage in our basement due to recent heavy, record-breaking rainfall here. Local SERVPRO brought in folks from SERVPRO locations all over the country to help. Less than 24 hours after I called, Patrick and Candice from SERVPRO of Lufkin, TX arrived at our door. Very knowledgeable, assessed our situation, gave us clear instructions, advice, and much reassurance. We didn't need their services beyond this evaluation, as we'd already done much of the clean up ourselves. I would highly recommend if you're looking for folks you can trust who will take the time to work with you and who won't push services you don't need. If we had needed more assistance, I would not have hesitated to hire them!
SERVPRO is a wonderful asset to our community! We love the support that SERVPRO shows to our community!
SERVPRO and it's employees have been such a great impact on our local community. I always see them at events and sponsoring teams to help give back! Patrick, Candice, & the rest of the crew are AWESOME!
