League City is the largest city in Galveston County, surpassing Galveston itself. It is part of the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area, and it boasts a population of around 112,000 people as of 2020. League City has a small portion that lies in Harris County, where several waterside resorts reside. There are lots of things for visitors and residents to do in League City including visiting the South Shore Harbour Resort and Conference Center, hanging out on Clear Lake, or even visiting the Space Center Houston.
History of League City, TX
The Butlers, the Cowarts, and the Perkinses are considered the three founding families of League City, although the Winfield family has recently gained acknowledgment in that area as well. The first resident arrived in 1854 and settled near Clear Creek and Chigger Bayou. There were some spats over the naming of this settled land, and the name fluctuated several times between Clear Creek and League City. Eventually, League City was settled on. In the 2000s, the real estate market drove Galveston residents to towns like League City which spurred the population and created an influx of students in the school systems outside of Galveston.

SERVPRO came out a week ago to do an inspection for water damage restoration. I was very pleased with the services, but SERVPRO actually came back out today to start services. Rashad Kennedy was the lead and displayed remarkable customer service and I'm very pleased with his services. I will definitely let State Farm know that SERVPRO is outstanding and highly recommended. I was overwhelmed at first, but Rashad made this situation very easy to deal with. 5 Stars.
