The weather in Whitehaven ranges from hot and muggy Summers, all the way to cold wet Winters.  The average Summer temperatures get all the way up to 97F and can drop to below 20F in the Winter. 

The Whitehaven area has had 79 tornadoes in and around the area since 1952.  The largest one was an F4 in 1974 that injured over 100 people and caused over 25 million in damages.
