Along the southernmost tip of Blount County TN in the historic Overhill Cherokee area, there sits the small town of Tallassee, TN. Tallassee has been the center of historic and prehistoric discoveries in Blount County since the 1950’s when over two dozen Cherokee burial spots were discovered.
