Selmer, Tennessee is the county seat for McNairy County. A small town of about 6,000 people, Selmer is a quiet, safe place to live and raise a family. The McNairy County Courthouse is one of the largest in the state, and quite the historic attraction. The famous Sherriff Buford Pusser, of Walking Tall hails from McNairy County.
