In the late 1880s a sawmill owner named J.S. Cooper founded the community of Quebeck. It was named after the Canadian province of the same name due to Mr. Cooper being inspired after traveling there. The area is located on the West side of White County less than 15 miles Southwest of Sparta, Tennessee. This is another place in White County that is near the Caney Fork River.
