Lyles is a rural census-designated place and unincorporated community in Hickman County, Tennessee. Located along State Route 100, it offers a quiet country lifestyle while remaining within commuting distance of Dickson, Centerville, Fairview, and the Nashville area.
History
Originally known as Lyell Station, Lyles was established along the Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railway. The community was named after the Lyell family, early settlers who played a significant role in its development. Although passenger rail service is no longer available, the community's railroad heritage remains an important part of its history.
