Castle Point is a Hamlet in Dutchess County, lying just North of Beacon and just South of Fishkill. It has a total area of less than 3 miles but is mere minutes from major facilities like The Castle Point VA Hospital, Renegades Minor League Baseball Stadium and the peaceful and educational Stony Kill Farm.

There are currently new housing developments being worked on and some smaller, well-established neighborhoods filled with well-cared for homes. Without feeling too packed, the Castle Point area does have several restaurants to enjoy, convenient stores for quick purchases, a handful of medical practices and houses of worship.

The largest draw to the area is the Veteran’s Hospital, opening in 1924 and became a general medicine and surgery teaching hospital that provides a full range of health services for Veterans. Major advances have been made and this hospital utilizes state-of-the-art technology.

Stony Kill Farm is an environmental education center and working farm. Homestead of the Verplanck family in 1708, designated on the National Register of Historic Places and currently owned and managed by NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. Not only historic but open to the public daily, this treasure has plenty of livestock to view, seminars, seasonal events, homeschooling programs, summer camps, workshops, and outings!

After a home disaster all you want is someone to come in and make it all go away. ServPro was able to do that for me. I was third party so after the initial estimate it was a day or so and then they showed up in force to mitigate my salt water mess. They removed damaged baseboard and rug pads, mold proofed everything then set up fans and dehumidifiers to dry the whole thing. Everything ran for three days. A team came back after everything was dry and attempted to clean the badly salt damaged rug. I was surprised they even tried but they made a valiant effort and I appreciate the effort. I am extremely satisfied with the work that was done to mitigate my brine tan overflow. I recommend ServPro for any home disaster militating work.
