Shrewsbury, NJ, is named after Shrewsbury, England.  The current town was incorporated in 1926 but people settlers have been living there since the 1600’s.  The local government changed several times over that time.

Shrewsbury has several commercial areas that include the upscale shops of The Grove on Route 35.  Further down 35 is the Trader Joe’s shopping plaza along with several other strip malls.  There are several historic buildings along Sycamore Avenue including the Allen House and Wardell House.  Christ Church is an Episcopal church built in 1769 at the corner of Broad Street and Sycamore.  Many of these local businesses are SERVPRO customers having experienced fire and water damage over the years.  We also provided Covid-19 cleanings during the pandemic for several companies, institutions, and restaurants.

Housing in town ranges from small apartments to large estates.  The area is prone to coastal storms and the resulting storm damage.  SERVPRO has assisted residents during several of these difficult times.
