Red Bank Cleanup and Restoration

Red Bank was originally formed in 1870 along the banks of the Navesink River and was essential as a transportation hub for steamships traveling to NYC.  Although a relatively small city, the town features scores of outstanding restaurants, shops, and attractions on and around Broad Street.  These are housed in various new and historic mid-rise buildings.  This is a great destination for residents of the surrounding areas as well as a great weekend destination year-round.

One of the prominent attractions is the Count Basie Theater which hosts concerts, shows, and comedians.  The town has an antique section near the train station which provides hours of shopping enjoyment.  Many festivals are hosted in town including an Oyster Festival, a Jazz and Blues Festival, and Indie Film Festival.  An old textile mill on Bridge Ave. has been converted into shops and restaurants including The Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant.  The old armory has been converted into an ice rink.

Red Bank is home to Riverview Medical Center which has a beautiful location on the banks of the Navesink River.  Several other high rises line the river including The Atrium at Navesink Harbor, a vibrant senior community.

Notable residents of town include Sebastian Bach, singer of the band Skid Row, film director Kevin Smith, and NFL player Sean Dawkins.
