Williston is most commonly associated with the Bakken Oil Boom that put it on the map, causing thousands of people to rush and try to make it in the oil business. The Oil Boom started in the late 2000's, and at the time, Williston wasn't ready to have such a surplus of people in such a short amount of time. But like magic, apartments, homes, businesses and new schools were built to accommodate its new residents. Even a new REC Center was built, featuring a indoor track, tennis and basketballs courts, and a water park. Golf courses and a shooting range are also notable for the outdoorsy type, as well as biking, walking and hiking trails.
Just outside of Williston you’ll find more history, outdoor recreation and entertainment such as boating and fishing on Lake Sakakawea; or step back in history with a visit to nearby Fort Buford State Historic Site, site of the surrender of Sitting Bull, or Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site. The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center is adjacent to Fort Buford and showcases the history of the area where the two great rivers merge into one.
For the film buffs, the movie "The Revenant" features the exploits of mountain man Hugh Glass, who worked as a hunter for Fort Union during its heyday as a fur trading post. Visitors to the post will be entertained by National Park Service ranger Loren Yellow Bird, an Arikara-Hidatsa tribal member who taught the language to actors in the movie. His detailed stories of events at the fort leaves guests spellbound.
With all the new businesses and homes going up in a short amount of time, water or fire damage is more of a factor. When things like that go up too quickly, it leaves room for errors in the inspections or final-walkthroughs. When fire or water damage strikes, SERVPRO is ready to make it "Like it never even happened".

What our Williston customers are saying
I have a rather large home..4 bedrooms and a huge family room in the basement. SERVPRO showed up smiling and oh so very nice!! I had already moved the majority of furniture off the carpet but even the things I didn't move they moved for me. I had a pet that was marking in several areas and told them where the problem areas were. They spent extra time on those and even went back to a couple areas at the end to make sure they were clean. My carpets are far from new however they look and smell great! I would recommend them 100%. So nice to have professionals come into your home be friendly, on time, do a great job and take pride in a job well done. Will use them again!

"They took steps to make the space clean, safe, and livable, they were extremely respectful and kind."
Steven and Devin are wonderful!
The Minot team is always responsive and helpful. I had a reoccurring sewage issue that was out of town and they came out quickly, and always do great work.
