Puckett Cleanup and Restoration

The city of Puckett, Mississippi, is about 2.18 square miles, but it's inhabitants are full of personality.  When entering Puckett, there is a large sign, erected in the 1950's, that reads " Welcome to Puckett, 300 good friendly folks and a few old soreheads". If that doesn't say enough about the area, Puckett was also nicknamed "the largest little showplace in the world" referring to a time in it's history when traveling shows would winter there, and hold performances since Mississippi usually has such mild winters.  The earliest documented settlers appeared in 1837, pioneers were said to have migrated from Alabama and other counties in Mississippi.  These pioneers called it Clear Creek, and according to historical records, a man named A.A. Burnham applied for a US Post Office in 1890, asking that it be named Clear Creek or Burnham.  However, the United States Postal Service declined because both names had already been used. So the name assigned was Puckett, after another family that had settled in the area from another part of Mississippi.  Puckett, Mississippi, is the educational center of south Rankin county.  Puckett attendance center serves grades kindergarten through twelfth grades, and the Puckett Wolves athletic programs are talented and well supported by their community.  Quaint, lovely, homey.....so many adjectives come to mind when thinking about Puckett, Mississippi, but this sparsely populated city knows who it can count on should any of the homes or businesses be in need of water damage restoration or fire damage restoration.
