Woodbury, Minnesota is located in Washington County and is a suburb of St. Paul. It lies just east of the larger city, and it is considered part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. As of 2020, the population in Woodbury was around 75,000 people. This makes Woodbury Minnesota's eighth most populous city!
History of Woodbury, MN
Woodbury was originally called Red Rock and was later renamed Woodbury, after Levi Woodbury, after the discovery of another Red Rock within the state.
The area was first settled in 1844, and it consisted of mostly wooded land. The land was converted to land suitable for farming and still has one of the remaining 19th-century farms -- the Charles Spangenberg Farmstead.
Woodbury tried to develop, but it became abundantly clear rather quickly, that they needed to incorporate to have the resources in order to develop. As of 1966, the village of Woodbury is officially incorporated.

Cannot say enough positive things about Victor and his crew at SERVPRO Northeast Minneapolis!! From the moment they showed up they explained everything and walked us through what they were talking about so they knew we understood. Our insurance was denying the claim and Victor went above and beyond fighting for us. If we are ever in the need of clean up again we will be calling Victor!!
We had SERVPRO help us with water in our basement. A sewer drain, backed up, destroying a large part of our carpet, laminate flooring, baseboard, drywall. They came to help within 24 hours. Luke and Sironta were wonderful. They would always text or call before coming over. They were respectful and did a great job. Gustavo was our project manager. He spoke with our insurance company and was great help coordinating, especially after finding out that we had to do flood cuts for the sewer water damage. I would highly recommend them to anybody that has a similar situation.
A brown spot on the ceiling kept growing and growing. SERVPRO found the culprit, helped us coordinate repairs and made sure it wouldn’t cause any more trouble in the future.
