Lake Orion is a village on the outskirts of metro Detroit, located in Oakland County, MI. This village is a smaller community compared to most of the other surrounding cities in Oakland County with a population of around 3,000. It shares a lot of public facilities such as libraries and public schools with the surrounding areas like Rochester, Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills. Like the name suggests, Lake Orion is exactly what it sounds like - a lake.
