The village of Bear Lake is located on the south side of beautiful Bear Lake in northwest Manistee County. We enjoy multiple golf courses starting with the local Bear Lake Highlands as well as nearly unlimited miles of scenic rivers and ATV and hiking trails throughout the Manistee National Forest land located in the area. Summer sports center around Bear Lake from which the village was named and winter sports abound with skiing, snow shoeing, riding snowmobiles and ATV's, ice fishing...the list is endless.
