Our area is well known for horse racing at Rosecroft Raceway, just north of where Henson Creek gurgles through. Area residents have other activities throughout the year to look forward to, such as the Annual Egg-stravaganza at Oxon Hill Farm every spring. In early June, the Recreation Center's pool opens, providing our youth the opportunity to cool off and improve their swimming abilities. Kids can enjoy the outdoor play sets, and older teens and adults often find it either very relaxing or highly enjoyable to take a water aerobics class or two. The last day of the season has often been dedicated to an appreciated but unusual rule-breaking activity. This session permits members to bring their family dog to enjoy the pool, just before it closes for the season. Other activities include Camp-Outs and small, private, members-only parties.
