Nestled in the heart of Sedgwick County, Viola, Kansas, is a small but welcoming town with a population of around 115 residents, according to the latest census. Our town was established in the late 1800s just west of the Ninnescah River and south of Lake Afton. Viola was originally a farming community that thrived in the region's fertile soil. Over the years, our small town has maintained its agricultural roots, with many of our residents still involved in farming and ranching. Despite its small size, our town has a rich history, and much of its original charm remains intact in its modest downtown area.
