Beech Grove Indiana has a long, interesting history. Much of the past of this town involves the farm industry and railway installations. A large part of the early Beech Grove area was platted in 1906. Beech Grove soon would be an incorporated town with a town board. The 12-foot-wide path includes new bridges and winds along scenic creeks. The trail begins at the former site of the Franciscan Health Beech Grove Hospital. Beginning in 1914, for nearly a hundred years, St. Francis Hospital operated in Beech Grove.
