Portal, Georgia is a tiny little town located in Bulloch County. It was incorporated as a town in 1914 by the Georgia General Assembly. Being known as “The Turpentine City” adds a unique aspect to the town’s identity. With a population of around 600 residents, Portal truly embodies the charm of a southern, small town. The annual Christmas festival and parade is a delightful event that brings not only the community together, but attracts several visitors every December. Although the town is small, there is still plenty of notable attractions - from the BBQ, to the General Store & even the Heritage Society.
