Highland Pines (Columbus, Georgia) is a residential subdivision in the Nankipooh Community which is unincorporated of Columbus, Muscogee County. Highland Pines is a small community within Columbus, Georgia. The housing development was from 1940's to 1950's. The areas is like a small homestead for the families that came from the Northern part of Georgia. Many would call it Post-War housing units.
Water Damage's in a 1940's house: Home's would be of a Contemporary Architecture style. Mainly wall to wall carpeting, parquet flooring, and sheetrock with lovely wallpaper. Home's would be inspected for moisture damage and most would have been built on a small foundation with crawlspace. Mot homes contain organic aspects of the Prairie Style and Craftsman Style. Which would later pull influences from the International Style of home.
