Flippen is an unincorporated community in Henry County, Georgia, United States. Flippen is within the postal limits of McDonough and as such, most residents list McDonough as their city. Flippen had its start when the railroad was extended to that point. A post office called Flippen was established in 1884, and remained in operation until 1966. The community was named after one Mr. Flippen, a railroad agent.  The major highways that run through and around Flippen, GA, include Interstate 75, U.S. Highway 23, Georgia State Route 42, Georgia State Route 401, and Georgia State Route 920.

Although we are in the postal limits of McDonough, Flippen manages to retain an independent sense of place and community. Locals are regulars at the local pizza shop called "Flippen Pizza," and we high recommend trying it out. 

Flippen, GA receives 40 inches of rainfall, on average, per year, so local residents are certainly not immune to needing water damage restoration. After a flood in my home, the restoration process lasted several months and involved multiple moving parts, contractors, and teams. Chris and his team did an exceptional job coordinating everything and helping bring my home back together. One thing I especially want people to know is that SERVPRO does so much more than just mitigation. Their restoration work included replacing my kitchen cabinets and countertops, flooring, bathroom vanity, ceiling repairs, and coordinating with the other teams involved throughout the project. My family is using ServPro for a water remediation and mold mitigation. Each crew that has come out have wonderful. But we to specifically acknowledge the girls on the pack out team, Alicia and Nikki. During this challenging time we have been trying to make it, they were a little too us. We had the unfortunate experience of our house catching on fire. Between the soot, the smoke, and all the water from both the fire department and the rain, it was a complete loss. In order to rebuild, the house had to be demolished. Taylor Sorenson with Servpro gave us a very reasonable price and got started as soon as the utilities were able to cut off their services. The demolition crew did excellent work and took the house down to the dirt. Now we can build again. We truly appreciate not only their efficiency, but also their quick timing and thorough job.
