Native to Madagascar, royal poinciana trees are known for their showy flowers. The botanical name is derived from the Greek words “delos” (meaning conspicuous) and “onyx” (meaning claw), referring to their appearance.
The city of Poinciana’s origins began in the 1960’s, when nearly 50,000 acres of farmland and swamp were purchased by a company that eventually became Avatar Holdings, Inc.
In 1972, Poinciana was formally established as the largest unincorporated, master-planned community in the United States. Poinciana is a two-time winner of America’s 100 Nicest Places to Live, and offers a unique environment to enjoy outdoor activities and wildlife. What a company. From the great customer representatives, technical experts, knowledgeable supervisors, these guys know how to restore your home from flood damage. They had a massive job on their hands with my Celebration home. There were multiple rooms and floors that had flood damage. But no task seems to be too big or too small for these guys.
