La Gorce Island, Florida, is an island located within the city of Miami Beach. It was built using dredged sand in 1924 by millionaire and land developer Carl G. Fisher. The island is named after Fisher's close friend, John Oliver La Gorce, a renowned explorer, author, and president of the National Geographic Society. In 1936 the island was sold, and new roads and residential lots were created. It is now home to many celebrities. Its proximity by bridge to La Gorce and the Miami International Airport makes this exclusive island a convenient, luxurious tropical paradise.
The island's population is 2994. Many people have lived in this area for 10,000 years. First, the Tequesta Indians lived in the area, then the Spanish arrived. My experience with SERVPRO was fantastic. After a flood on Thanksgiving day, Rafael sent his team out immediately, and charged me a super fair price. Rafael, who was also my initial contact, made himself available 24 hours / day until the job was done, even though his technicians were already on it. The 1st tech Jose Almonte, who came to install all the equipment was extremely gracious and worked hard to figure out the best way to approach it. Freddy Lopez came when it was time to pick up all the equipment, and went way beyond his duties to make sure everything was left in great condition. Thank you!! I recommend this company very highly.
