Telluride Water Damage and Fire Damage
Telluride started with the discovery of gold by John Fallon in the Marshall Basin above Telluride in 1875. The town was founded in 1878, and a post office was opened in 1880. Before the post office was approved, residents needed to change the original name of "Columbia" to the Town of Telluride in 1887. The area mines were rich in lead, zinc, copper, and silver, with ores that also contained gold. Today, Telluride is known for its picturesque mountain views, golf, skiing, and historic venues.
The town has developed a reputation for festivals, skiing, golf, one-of-a-kind eateries, unique boutiques and shops, and cultural events. The Sheridan Arts Foundation presents Willy Wonka on Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3, at 6 pm and Sunday, May 4, at 4 pm at the historic Sheridan Opera House.
The Telluride Farmers Market runs every Friday from May 30 to October 10 from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm on Oak Street. Enjoy animal products, produce, and prepared foods produced within 100 miles of Telluride.
The Telluride Ballon Festival is set for June 6 – 8th, weather permitting. Enjoy the balloon glow Saturday night on Main Street from 6–10 pm. The town hosts many more festivals and events. Check its website for more details.
