Southside is a city located within Etowah County in the U.S. state of Alabama. This city is included in the Gadsden Metropolitan Statistical Area. Southside was incorporated in 1957 and is located just South of downtown Gadsden. It is said that Southside is one of the fastest growing cities in Northeast Alabama and Etowah County. Located on the Coosa River, Southside is a beautiful city. In this city you will find the residents are always friendly and know the true meaning of “Southern Hospitality”. Southside’s Mission Statement is “To provide exceptional public services to residents, businesses, and guests so they may experience a safe, healthy, and thriving community.” Since being incorporated in 1957, Southside is described as the “Loveliest Village on the Coosa.” Southside has a diverse and beautiful scenery, with the green mountains and the Coosa River – it is breathtaking all year-round and you can enjoy outdoor activities. Along with being on the banks of the Coosa River, located just within six miles is Silver Lakes, Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail and is a golfer’s paradise.

 In Southside, the climate is like other surrounding towns. On average, however, Southside can experience up to 52 inches of rain and with some homeowners and business owners being on the banks of the Coosa River, water damage can happen, at any time and SERVPRO is prepared at a moment’s notice to respond to emergency situations. Supply line broke in my bathroom. Flooded the bathroom and part of the hallway that is hard wood. Kyle came assessed the situation. He sent 2 young men to clean up and start the process of drying the floor and Sheetrock.
