Southside is a city located within Etowah County in the U.S. state of Alabama. This city is included in the Gadsden Metropolitan Statistical Area. Southside was incorporated in 1957 and is located just South of downtown Gadsden. It is said that Southside is one of the fastest growing cities in Northeast Alabama and Etowah County. Located on the Coosa River, Southside is a beautiful city. In this city you will find the residents are always friendly and know the true meaning of “Southern Hospitality”. Along with being on the banks of the Coosa River, located just within six miles is Silver Lakes, Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail and is a golfer’s paradise.
In Southside, the climate is like other surrounding towns.
