Glencoe Cleanup and Restoration

Glencoe is a city in Calhoun and Etowah County, Alabama. The city of Glencoe holds a special recognition in Alabama, as a “City of Patriotism” designated by Governor Bob Riley in September 2003. This title was given for the towns outstanding display of patriotism. This city is one of the friendliest cities in North Alabama. Glencoe was founded in 1939 and are proud to be known for safe community environment, award-winning schools and new housing subdivisions providing a range of housing opportunities. Glencoe shines for its natural beauty, being on the Coosa River, and home to the Silver Lakes Golf Course, which is part of the prestigious Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.  

With its location along the Coosa River, the summers are long, hot and muggy; the winters are typically short, very cold, and wet.
