Alexandria, Alabama is not an incorporated city; however, it is a census-designated place near the center of Calhoun County. This small community stretches along Alabama Highway 431 and spans both East and West from the highway, covering less than 12 square miles (about the area of Chicago O'Hare airport). Alexandria appeared as a precinct in 1870. In 2010, Alexandria was given another lesser knownand used name – Websters Chapel.
