Thornburg is in Spotsylvania County in of Virginia. Thornburg is centered on the intersection of the Jefferson Davis Highway (U.S. 1) with Morris, Mudd Tavern, and South Roxbury Mill Roads.  The town is located near Interstate 95 exit 118, where several motels and travel-related businesses exist.  There is a Walmart, an American Family, Hand & Stone, Target, Pool Store, Chick File, Wendy's, McDonald's, Chipotle, Cold Stone, and many more businesses' and restaurants there.  Thornburg Middle School and Massaponax High School are located in Thornburg, Virginia and are within three miles of each other. The Spotsylvania County School Board Office is located just across the street from Thornburg Middle school where they hold all the school board meetings on Monday nights while school is in session. Bring the family out to Patriot Park to enjoy two outdoor basketball courts, two small baseball diamonds, four large baseball diamonds, 6 multi-purpose fields, 3.1 mile walking trail, three restrooms and an amphitheater. The Spotsylvania Parks and Recreation Department welcomes promoters and private renters of the amphitheater, while also hosting its own in-house shows and events. The amphitheater rents from April 1 through December 31 each year. Capable of hosting crowds of up to 2,000 and a seating area for up to 200. Electricity and lighting are available. Restroom site is located next to the amphitheater. The servpro team was outstanding when I had water damage. They came out quickly and worked until the damaged areas were removed. They didn't leave until dryers and dehumidifier were in action. Mike, Jessie, Ryan and Bryan were on top if it all. Bryan was our regular person and he was extremely polite and courteous. Highly recommend this team.
