Wynnewood Cleanup and Restoration

Wynnewood is located within Oak Cliff covering 820 acres, maintaining a population of around 3,000 people. The area was a planned community named after the Wynne family who was responsible for the development. It was created in the 1950s as part of the entry into the post World War II era.  There was specific emphasis placed on making sure the residential housing was not cookie cutter.  Additionally, the commercial buildings were to have their own unique stamp, that of distinctive decorative wood flooring.  At the center of the development was Wynnewood Village, a 65 acre shopping center.  In the heyday of Wynnewood Village there were 150 shops, but unfortunately many of the shops have now been torn down.  A revitalization of the center has been in discussion with nothing concrete coming into fruition as of yet.  

The 1950s happened to also be when copper piping became the primary piping installed in residential homes.  It has since been replaced by PEX tubing due to the increased flexibility and durability.  Copper piping can deteriorate over time and cause water damage issues.  When this happens, a water damage restoration company should be called.  Other potential problems with an older homes that could result in water damage restoration include old washers, deteriorated roof, shifting home, root intrusion into or around a pipe, etc.
