Troy has several major events that are held annually like Troy Community Involvement Days, held on the 2nd weekend in July, and The Pecan Festival, on Labor Day weekend, where they have classic car show, poker runs, bakeoffs, a quit show, and a good ole-fashion get-together in the City Park. During the Christmas season, Troy’s town square is brightly lit with a variety of colorful holiday displays that attract visitors downtown, and you can’t forget their annual Christmas parade on the 2nd Saturday in December.
