Humboldt, TN is a city located in both Madison and Gibson Counties. With a population of just under 9,000, this city is growing with its industry and small businesses. Humboldt is the Home of the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival. In the 1930s, Humboldt’s primary crop was strawberries beat cotton. Around 1934, West Tennessee held the first Strawberry Festival to promote strawberries that grew in the region. To celebrate their strawberries the city held baseball games, a parade, hot air balloon rides, and contests at the Humboldt City High School gym. A contest was also held for the Festival Queen and her court. The West Tennessee Strawberry Festival is the state of Tennessee’s largest and longest-running community festival since it started in 1934. The West Tennessee Strawberry Festival still hosts several events every year including beauty pageants, horse shows, fireworks, food trucks, a carnival, a huge parade and so much more. This festival is widely supported throughout the whole region. Everyone knows to leave the first week of May open on your calendar because of all of the awesome festivities. "I definitely recommend SERVPRO for your flood needs. I came home from work the other day to realize that a pipe had bust and my house looked like an indoor wading pool. SERVPRO came as soon as they could to take care of the problem. Unfortunately, they had to pull up the flooring and baseboards and drill some holes to speed up the drying process but the employees were friendly and did what they could to take care of the problem!"
