Blackman, Tennessee is an unincorporated community in Rutherford County, Tennessee, located on the west side of Murfreesboro. While off the beaten path, it's a great place for peaceful activities such as visiting the Blackman Community Club or picking some fresh fruit at Batey Farm. The settlement was originally known as Blackman's Shop and was founded in 1808. In honor of its 200th birthday, the annual Blackman Barbecue took place at Blackman Middle School. In April 2009, the Blackman area was struck by an EF4 tornado. Hundreds of homes were destroyed, and many more were heavily damaged. The team arrived on time, removed the wet materials resulting from a roof leak, cleaned up, setup dryers and fans. Great folks on the team and explained what they were doing as they worked I would recommend them if you have a problem.
