Among the various towns, cities, and boroughs of northeastern Pennsylvania, Jenkins Township ranks highly in both size and population. Founded in 1852, the Township was named after Col. John Jenkins, an officer in the Revolutionary War and a representative of Luzerne County for many years. As with many neighboring towns and cities, Jenkins Township started as a logging and farming hub but grew exponentially with the discovery of anthracite coal and the birth of the area’s coal mining industry. As time went on and coal mining slowed, Jenkins Township moved its economy towards its ever-expanding warehousing industry. Even over a century later, parts of Jenkins Township's past remain. Taking a drive down Main Street brings you through Inkerman and Port Griffith, two towns that have been through centuries of Pennsylvania's history!

Amazing service! Showed up within an hour of reaching out to them after 600 PM. Brought in all the needed equipment to dry out the floors in our house after a major water leak. Stayed onto of it for 5 days until the subfloor was completely dry. A big concern was mold however they sprayed and sealed the wood to ensure that would not be a problem. Josiah and his team were nothing but curious and made us feel much better about our situation. Hats off to him and the ServPro team.
