Nestled in Luzerne County of northeastern Pennsylvania, along the Susquehanna River,  lies a small town by the name of Glen Lyon. Founded during the era of anthracite coal mining in the region, Glen Lyon grew fast. With Sixth Shaft Colliery established in the middle of town and Seventh Shaft to the west, Glen Lyon was a vital piece of the anthracite mining era of Pennsylvania. In modern days Glen Lyon has shrunk in both importance and size, but it is still the lively little town it once was. The shops lining West Main Street and churches erected during the town’s influx of immigrant families create a tight-knit and friendly community.

With the Susquehanna River bordering to the north and Newport Creek running through the middle of town, water damage is a prime concern for the community. Amazing service! Showed up within an hour of reaching out to them after 600 PM. Brought in all the needed equipment to dry out the floors in our house after a major water leak. Stayed onto of it for 5 days until the subfloor was completely dry. A big concern was mold however they sprayed and sealed the wood to ensure that would not be a problem. Josiah and his team were nothing but curious and made us feel much better about our situation. Hats off to him and the ServPro team.
