Annville is home to Lebanon Valley College, the first co-ed college in Pennsylvania, which began in 1866. Lebanon Valley College classes began May 7 of that year and its first class graduated in 1870. Today, Lebanon Valley College has an average of 2,000 enrolled students per semester and offer a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees. After the reopening of the town theatre, The Allen, in 1995, Annville experienced a revitalization.
