West Slope is an unincorporated suburb of Portland, United States and a census-designated place. It is located in Washington County, to the west of Portland's West Hills neighborhood, to the northwest of Raleigh Hills and south of US Route 26 . Fire protection and EMS services are provided through Tualatin Valley Firer and Rescue.<supabout_tvfr_4-0">

As of the 2000 census, the suburb population was 6,442. In a plan agreed to by the county and Beaverton, West Slope was scheduled for annexation to Beaverton by 2010.

West Sylvan Middle School is located in West Slope south of US Route 26. In the public school district, most children will attend either Raleigh Park Elementary, Ridgewood Elementary, or William Walker Elementary schools. Tweens will mostly enter either Whitford Middle school or Cedar Park middle school. Teen will usually attend Beaverton high school. These schools are all a part of the Beaverton school district.

The Oregon Zoo, originally the Portland Zoo and later the Washington Park Zoo, is a zoo located in Washington Park approximately 2 miles. Largest zoo west of the Mississippi.

The 64-acre (26 ha) zoo is owned by the regional Metro government. It currently holds more than 1,800 animals of more than 230 species, including 19 endangered species and 9 threatened species. The zoo also boasts an extensive plant collection throughout its animal exhibits and specialized gardens. The zoo also operates and maintains the 2 ft 6 in (762 mm)narrow gauge Washington Park & Zoo Railway  that previously connected to the International Rose Test Garden inside the park, but currently runs only within the zoo.
