Nehalem, Oregon is a city in Tillamook County. Incorporated in 1889, the city lies along the Nehalem River and Nehalem Bay near the Pacific Ocean. It is bisected by U.S. Route 101. The population was 355 at the 2020 census. 

Nehalem was named for the Nehalem tribe of indigenous people, part of the Salish Nation.   

European Americans came to the area in the later part of the 19th century, supporting themselves with logging, fishing, and shipping.  

The Portland-based band Everclear has a song, "Nehalem", about life in the town, on its Sparkle and Fade album.
