After two flash floods sent water into our finished basement, we had mold behind the drywall and moisture under the flooring across half the space. Start with this: they pick up the phone. Every time, first ring. They came out the same day for the assessment and started remediation the next. For comparison, 2 other companies I called took over a week to send an estimate and I was chasing them the whole time — while mold sat growing behind my wall. When you have water damage, responsiveness isn't a nice-to-have. The competing quotes came in at over 6x the cost. I think they were quoting me as if my insurance would cover it. I'm paying out of pocket. Servpro provided an itemized written proposal instead of a vague number — and invoiced exactly that. No change orders, no surprises. The crew did what they said they would. They removed all the affected laminate, cut the drywall back, and pulled the wet insulation. Where mold extended above the standard two-foot flood cut, they went higher rather than stopping at the line — including a full-height cut around the window where the water came in. That's the kind of judgment call that tells you people know what they're doing. They used a proper EPA-registered antimicrobial on the framing and slab, protected our contents, and left the site clean. Allan and Christian knocked it all out in a single day while moving furniture around. They've been eating their Wheaties every morning for sure. Absolute champions. Anabel in the office was responsive and got the paperwork turned around quickly. When I called with questions about scope (1st ring), I got direct answers and written confirmation of what was included. If you're dealing with water damage in Essex County, call these folks first. Now with that said, I hope to never have to call them ever again. (fingers crossed)

Brian came by and did a thorough assessment of some water damage that occurred after a major storm and sump pump failure. He was honest and did not upsell us on any services. This is my second time reaching out to Servpro and would highly recommend them.

Today I had a representative of Servpro from the union office visit my home for a very bad smell in one of my bedrooms (A small dead Pest) Most likely below the floor in the wall. This was a free inspection! He was one of the most pleasant serviceman I’ve dealt with in a long time. He did a thorough inspection of my attic, the ductwork below the bedroom through the ceiling tiles downstairs up into the flooring. Since this was a small mouse, he indicated it would deteriorate, Keep the door closed in the window open and if it did not go away to contact them and they would go into the wall. I want to thank Servpro very much for this excellent service.
