There are three comfort stations with showers and rest room facilities. The lake opens on Memorial Day with lifeguards on duty during designated summer swimming times. Located within the Wharton State Forest, the lake also offers picnic areas, barbecue grills, playgrounds, and concession stands. There are nature trails open for hiking, they are well marked and wheelchair accessible. After a long day at the lake the Valenzano Family Winery might be the perfect place to go. They made their first batch of commercial wine in 1996 and have been going strong ever since. Today, they are one of the east coast's largest wine producers. Valenzano Wines have won double gold medals from the Indy International Wine Competition, Fingerlakes International Wine Competition along with the NJ Governor's Cup and dozens of prestigious awards.
