Ocean Township, NJ is located in Monmouth County. Ocean is a large town comprised of 3 separate unincorporated sections of town: Wanamassa, Oakhurst, and Wayside. Together, these sections cover almost 11 square miles and include residential neighborhoods, small strip malls, and large commercial areas. However, the original plot for the town in 1849 was much larger. Also, it included Asbury Park, Eatontown, Sea Bright, Monmouth Beach, Long Branch, Neptune, Allenhurst, Loch Arbour, and Interlaken, all of which separated since and became separate towns.
Some fun history about Ocean includes Joe Palaia Park on Dow Ave. The park has produced several significant fossil discoveries including the remains of a mastodon, which is believed to be over 12,000 years old. This lot was later the site of secret communication testing conducted by the Army and contractors including AT&T, Western Electric, and Bell Labs. The first fax of a photograph was sent from this site. Russian satellites including Sputnik 1 & 2 were tracked from here. Following World War 1, systems tested here could communicate to ships over a thousand miles out to sea for the first time.
Ocean is easily accessible from Route 18, Route 35, The Garden State Parkway, Route 71, and Route 66.
Several moderate-size manufacturing operations, warehouse facilities, and industrial parks are located on the west side of town between Route 35 and the GSP. Among these is Andantex where master craftsman Ryan Sandoz keeps the magic going by repairing parts for Disney’s It’s A Small World Ride, among others.
Route 35 also has large shopping centers such as the Seaview Square Shopping Center, Wegman’s Plaza, and Kohl’s plaza. Rachel was great to work with!
These guys were amazing. Had mold all over my basement and had already gotten ripped off by excessive testing and a lot of people wanting my money. This branch took the time to explain everything to me, make sure I wasn't spending more than I could, and ensuring the job was done fast and complete. They were very professional. The team had to be here for a week, and every single day, came in smiling, friendly, respectful, and again, explaining everything they did. Job was done complete, and I will absolutely use them again (although of course I hope I don't have to). Rachel and Don were exceptional.
