This Small Town has a Rich History and is Named for a Sea Captain
The small town of Mays Harbor named for Captain George May. He purchased the land in the 1750's because he saw the area as a great potential place to build ships. There was an abundance of local lumber and nearby foundries to get iron. In the 1830 Mays Harbor became the Atlantic County seat and eventually the home of the county courthouse. In the 1990's it was added to the National Register of Historic Places for its significance in architecture, community planning, industry, and politics. Churches and hotels contributed to this distinction. About 570 families call Mays Harbor home.

I recently moved office furniture and boxed items out of storage. The furniture and some of the office decor had mold. I called SERVPRO of Atlantic City and was immediately made to feel at ease - because I was worried I would have lost some valuable pieces of furniture.
