Sutton is a town in Merrimack County, New Hampshire. The town was originally granted in 1749 to Masonian proprietors, but the French and Indian war delayed the settlement.
The town was then regranted in 1784 and the settlers were from Sutton, Massachusetts. Hence the name we still have to this day.
Sutton is a very popular town in New Hampshire and has been called one of the best places to live in New Hampshire. Sutton offers a rural feel to it's residents, including many outdoor places and activities as well as many restaurants to enjoy.

If the outdoors is what you're looking for, Wadleigh State Park is the place for you. This park is located on the Southeast shore of Kezar Lake in North Sutton and offers some of the best views around and many activities for the family to enjoy.
This is a busy park and they do recommend that you make reservations because parking is limited. They will accept reservations up to 30 days in advance.
Wadleigh State Park offers canoeing and kayaking, there are boats for rent.
It also offers a bathhouse, picnic tables, picnic area and beach. There is a baseball field that is located across the street from the main beach and picnic area.
