Newfound Lake located in Grafton County and is renowned for being the “cleanest lake in the world.”  The lake received its prestige due to its depth of 183 feet, one of the deepest in the state, and its eight freshwater springs along with the natural surroundings help shelter the lake from pollutants. With 4,106 acres of beautiful crystal-clear waters, twenty-two miles of shoreline, and twenty-two species of fish that are stocked every spring makes for a fisherman’s dream catch experience.

Newfound Lake became a tourist destination back in the 1800’s with steamboats rides and cottages being built for the wealthy around the lake. Hotels, beaches and restaurants continues to grow and combined with its remote location the lake is a paradise resort with some of the best stargazing you can see.

Newfound Lake is home to Wellington State Park and Beach covering 220 acres of public recreation including swimming, non-motorized boating, fishing, hiking trail system, and picnicking in the state’s largest freshwater beach located within a NH state park.

There are plenty of outdoor activities around the lake during the summer including restaurants, shopping, and local Inn’s to stay and play.  During winter months, residents and visitors can enjoy ice fishing, skiing and winter hiking.

One of the biggest mistakes my wife and I made when our house in the White Mountains suffered major, sever water damage impacting all floors, appliances, walls, etc. was NOT to hire SERVPRO to perform the mitigation (cleanup) services as part of the overall repair process. No, we made the mistake of using one of their competitors who took +5 visits over 2 months to complete the task. However, once that headache was resolved, we did make the RIGHT DECISION to partner with SERVPRO to complete the repair portion of the process and thank God we did because we had the privilege of working with Mr. Gordon Brown, General Manager; SERVPRO. From the beginning, Gordon took the time to insure we had a clear understanding of what the repair process entailed including potential "surprises" that might arise given our particular situation and his vast knowledge and experience that he had accumulated over his career in the construction industry. I could go into exhaustive detail and cite numerous examples of Gordon's promptness, attention to detail, ability to delivery, and just creating a comfortable working relationship with my wife and I but I won't. Suffice to say that Gordon Brown was the major reason why we are now avid SERVPRO clients and will recommend them to all our friends. My only regret is that I did not meet Gordon before we started the mitigation portion of the project!

We got home to a flooded first floor (we live on a slab so this is our living area). Our insurance company contacted SERVPRO. They were here within the hour. Our first floor is fully carpeted. They began the water removal then the carpets. Dan and Amy came over on Sunday to begin the process then Ramon and Jeffrey spent the next 2 (extremely hot) days removing carpets, carpet pads, clean up, etc. They were professional, friendly, on time and handled the heat with no complaints. We hope we never have to use their services again; however, we DEFINITELY would call them if we need them.
