One of the most popular places to canoe, kayak or tube is Canoe and Trail Outpost / Sweetwater Canoe and Tubing, located on the scenic Bogue Chitto River as the river connects to Magee’s Creek. For RV parks, Paradise Ranch RV Resort and Hidden Springs RV Resort are two other options for outdoor entertainment.

One of the town’s cherished buildings is the Agri-Heritage Building near the local café, Coffee Caboose Roasters. Many come to Agri-Heritage for “Old Town Market”, where the community supports each other by shopping local every second Saturday of the month. During the holidays the building hosts “Country Christmas Craft Show” for holiday cheer and gift shopping. Another place where locals gather is at the Southwest Events Center, enjoying events like “Craft Show & Bazaar” and “The South MS Boucherie”. 

Tylertown Airport hosts “MS Fly-In” consisting of activities where the community brings lawn chairs, enjoys food trucks and local music after riding in the airplane and helicopter. The town also comes together for their annual Christmas Parade Downtown as businesses participate with decorated windows and staying open later to join the holiday spirit.
