Lizana is a small unincorporated rural community located in North Harrison County that was settled by Henry Sebastian Lizana in 1880. I little well know fact is that the Lizana neighborhood has more Slovak and French ancestry people living in it than nearly any neighborhood in America? It's true! In fact, 1.8% of this neighborhood's residents have Slovak ancestry and 8.2% have French ancestry which keeps the area strongly rooted with its history.
