Wright City, Missouri, was founded in 1857 and was named after Dr. Henry C. Wright, one of the first settlers. The Southwestern Bell Repeater Station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007 and is a historic telephone repeater station located at the NE corner of North Service Rd. and Bell Rd. It was built in 1930 by Southwestern Bell and is a one-story, Tudor Revival-style variegated brick building.
