Richmond Heights, Missouri is an inner-ring suburb of St. Louis, within St. Louis County. The population was around 9,000 people as of 2020. Rumor has it, that the name of the town came from a suggestion by Robert E. Lee who thought the area looked similar to Richmond, Virginia.
Richmond Heights has a few major highways that run right through it. Interstate 70, Interstate 64, and US Route 40 make Richmond Heights easily accessible, and easy for residents to access the greater St. Louis metropolitan area.
Richmond Heights used to be the headquarters for Panera Bread with a store right across the street. The store was known (and are still known locally) as St. Louis Bread Co. Richmond Heights is also home to the St. Louis Galleria, a mall that is responsible for a large source of revenue.
Temperatures in Richmond Heights can change drastically from one day to the next.
