Fairmount Heights is a town in Prince George's County, Maryland, made up of about 1,500 people. One of the things many residents are proud of is the community garden. The Fairmount Heights Community Garden was launched in May 2018 by the Fairmount Heights Green Team. The garden is located on a vacant lot owned by the Town. Today the garden is made up of 10 raised gardens and planted tomatoes, peppers, greens, watermelons, cabbage and many other vegetables. Fairmount Heights residents are invited to grow vegetables in an organic setting. The Fairmount Heights Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.
